I got pulled over by the cops the other day........he walks up to the drivers window and says nice jeep by the way we are doing safety inspections on modified vehicles do you mind following me, what am I suppose to say no ?............So I follow him thinking F#@K .... .F@#K.......I should have installed those parking brake cables I bought last fall F#@K.....F@#K well at least I can use my CAA to tow it to the shop. We get there and theres only one guy sitting in a pickup (MOE) he gets out tells me to open the hood takes a look, looks under the Jeep and says your good to go. My luck the MTO guys had quit for the day.......so this gives me the ambition to finally get under the Jeep today, front cable and right rear cable installed today, left rear tomorrow, noticed a small leak at the front pinion seal and rear flex line cracked. So what I'm trying to get at is if I keep this pace up and get these things fixed just maybe we can get out for a run somewhere before Phil Factor.

Here's one for ya. So Shell's jeep has a squeekin' u-joint. After a couple weeks of hearing this thing when it gets hot, I go buy a new one. Late getting home that night so I figure it can wait a couple days... Three weeks later, it's getting worse. Thinkin'... should pull the shaft tommorrow in the day light, and let her run it that way till I get a chance to change it. That was Saturday. Sunday I forgot about it. Later Sunday afternoon she heads to Bancroft to pick up her daughter at her aunts. 5:00 she calls me on the cell. Heard a big bang from under the jeep. now she's sitting on the side of the road. Figuring it's the drive shaft, Dogger and I head up that way. Pull the shaft and all will be well. Not the shaft. Some thing in the T-case locked. F#@K! Broke the chain. And put a hole in the side big enough to put my fist through. F#@K ME! So up to Bancroft, pick up daughter, borrow chain, and tow it home in the dark.
So I picked up a used one today. Hope to have it in this weekend.

Dam that sucks John! Ken where did you get pulled over? Was it in Cobourg? Charlie got his company truck pulled over and got about $500 worth of fines. Well i guess I better get down to tafes to get my emergency brake all figured out! and that hole in the side and the floor on the driverside :( just did the rear brakes already.

Well....guess I should get my butt in gear and get my park brake hooked up...lol...knock on wood(besides no front sway bar) I think I'm good....and I should hook up Jens YJ too when I finally get it done...kinda sucks cause I never use the damn things anyways...used to use them and then had one seize up on me even though all the cables on that particular car were less than a year old and I used it all the time up till then.....sway bar I can just make it looky like it was never supposed to be there I mean shit...i've never had one on any of my XJ's I've lifted...just drive it like a jeep...lol....thanks for the heads up Kenny..this is not the first time I've heard this in the past couple months...

So I heard on the radio today that yesturday they had a blitz in Belleville. Targeting older and modified vehicles. 50 charges laid, 8 vehicles pulled off the road, 7 licences pulled. Kinda glad Woody's down right now. I'm sure they'd find something that I've missed. lol.

I agree with ya Bad. I don't own anything that resembles a show vehicle. But everything I've got is fit for the road. The only one that wouldn't pass a safety is my Ford. And it gets a new frame this summer. But I know from Driving trucks, buses and other company vehicles, that if they want to find something, they will. The only reason Woody is down now, is a leaking oil pan. Have a new one here. And I've got a shapping noise in the front that I haven't pinned down yet. Everything else is good to go.
